Whiskey Sour is the definition of an easygoing companion. He's a gentle, affectionate boy who loves cuddles just as much as he loves a good nap. While he's mellow around the house, he still enjoys getting out for walks and exploring. He's wonderful with kids, completely ignores cats, and would fit in beautifully with just about any family.
Whiskey Sour came to us from a Central Valley shelter after he was found as a stray. We estimate he's around 5 years old.
Like many pugs, he struggled with Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS), so he underwent soft palate surgery to help him breathe comfortably. While he was under anesthesia, he also had a dental cleaning and was neutered. He's recovering beautifully and is already feeling like a brand-new dog.
He's still working on his potty training. His foster suspects he may have spent much of his previous life either outdoors or living indoors without much care or routine, so learning that the yard is the place to do his business is something entirely new. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, he's making progress every day and will continue to improve.
