Meet Stitch!
Stitch is the kind of pug everyone falls in love with. He’s about 3 years old, affectionate, sensitive, and incredibly lovable.
Get close and he’ll happily sidle up, rub his face and body against them, and request back scratches and head rubs for as long as they’re willing to give them. He can keep this up for over an hour! He’s also perfectly happy entertaining himself with a chew or bone.
Stitch came to Bay Area Pug Project as an owner surrender after his dad lost his housing. It was a heartbreaking decision, but his dad wanted to make sure Stitch had the love, space, and attention he deserved. He previously lived with a large dog and young children.
Stitch is excellent in the car, crate trained, and potty trained. Like many male dogs, he may try to mark in a new environment during the first day or two, but a gentle “uh uh” is all he needs to understand that’s not allowed. He has a great appetite, isn’t picky about kibble or treats, and is wonderfully well behaved when his humans are eating.
Stitch loves adventure and walks and will happily go anywhere with his people. He can be a little timid at first, but once he knows he’s safe and surrounded by people who love him, he warms up beautifully. He’s social, friendly, great with other dogs, and absolutely loves children. His usual greeting is to run over and ask for a hug or some scratches.
Honestly, Stitch is a 10 out of 10. He’s sweet, affectionate, playful, social, and simply wants to be loved.
Stitch will be neutered on September 27, vaccinated and microchipped. He is currently fostered in the North Bay.
