This gentle and loving 2-month-old puppy will receive his second round of vaccines during the second week of June and will be ready to head home shortly after.
Orion has already overcome so much in his short life. Earlier this month, we took in him and two other tiny puppies in heartbreaking condition. They were covered in live fleas, severely anemic, and battling upper respiratory infections. Orion spent weeks on antibiotics while everyone worried about him, but today he’s completely healthy, full of life, and ready for endless cuddles.
He’s not your typical puppy. Orion is more like a Ragdoll kitten: he melts into your arms, showers you with kisses, and gently toddles after you from room to room. He loves curling up with his foster siblings, is fascinated by the adult pugs, and especially enjoys spending time with senior dogs. He’s wonderful with kids, enjoys puppy wrestling sessions, but is just as happy chewing on a teething toy or soaking up the sun beside you.
Because he is still so young, adopters will need to continue his puppy vaccine series and sign a neuter contract. Orion must follow standard puppy safety protocols until fully vaccinated, meaning no paws on public ground and no interactions with unfamiliar dogs for another month or so. He also needs to be fed three times a day, so we are looking for adopters who are home often enough to provide the care, socialization, and structure a young puppy needs.
Orion is fostered in Martinez, CA.
