Meet Hobbs, a 25-pound cuddle bug who is ready for his second chance at a forever home. Hobbs was returned to the shelter because he wasn’t fully potty trained yet, but it’s important to remember that potty training takes time, consistency, and patience. Dogs aren’t born knowing these skills, and pups coming out of a shelter environment, where they can go anywhere, often need time to adjust and learn a new routine.
He would do best in a home with kids 10 and over as can get overwhelmed by young kids crying.
What Hobbs lacks in house-training experience, he more than makes up for in love. He is happiest right by your side or under your feet, soaking up all the affection he can get. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, does well with other dogs, and happily ignores cats.
Hobbs is currently on a diet so he can get his waistline back, but that just means he’s working toward being an even healthier, happier companion. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped, and he’s ready to find a patient, loving home that will help him continue learning and thriving.
