Meet Grover!
At around five to six years old and a petite 14.6 pounds, this adorable little pug has the gentlest soul and just wants to be loved. His favorite place in the world is right by your side, especially if it comes with a cozy snuggle.
Grover came to us after being listed online for free. We connected with his owner and were so grateful they trusted us to step in. At the time, he was being kept in a garage during a heat wave, so we made sure to get him to safety as quickly as possible.
When he first arrived, he was timid and unsure, covered in fleas and clearly in need of care. With a little patience, comfort, and love from his foster, Grover has truly blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate companion.
He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. During his neuter, our vet noted a tracheal collapse, but he has no symptoms and breathes comfortably. He still enjoys being active and staying close to his people.
Grover is being fostered with kids and does well with them, and he doesn’t mind the resident cat. He’s working on his potty training, which makes sense given where he came from, and he’s already making progress. His previous owner said he was crate trained, but he is definitely not happy in one.
Grover is currently being fostered near Sacramento and is more than ready to find a home where he’ll be safe, cherished, and loved the way he deserves.
