Terms & Conditions*
- I am adopting the pet described below through Bay Area Pug Project. The pet is being adopted as a companion and will live as a family member with me inside my home. As such a companion, I will provide sufficient food, water, and loving care.
- I recognize that pugs and other brachycephalic breeds do NOT tolerate cold or hot temperatures, will shed abundantly, and require at minimum yearly veterinarian visits for maintenance of good health.
- I will keep an identification tag on the dog at all times and will license the dog with the county/city. If at any time I move or change my phone number, I will update the dog's microchip to reflect these updates.
- I agree to immediately notify Bay Area Pug Project if the pet is lost or stolen. I further agree, in the event the animal is lost, that I will make every reasonable effort to attempt to locate and claim the animal, and to immediately retrieve the pet from any public pound or animal shelter when notified the animal is being held at any such location and to pay any costs associated with its recovery.
- If I am adopting a dog that requires further vaccines or boosters, such as a puppy, I agree to provide these based on the schedule provided.
- I agree to schedule an appointment with my personal veterinarian within 2 months or less of obtaining the dog to establish care.
- Bay Area Pug Project will provide me upon pick-up of the dog with the following: adoption contract + health records + microchip vendor.
