Muffin is an adorable young pug with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She’s cuddly, curious, and delightfully silly, with the sweetest little grunts and snorts that are guaranteed to make you smile. We estimate her to be about 2 years old. We pulled her from Oakland Animal Services, where she had been found as a stray.
Muffin loves being with her people and is happiest when she’s included in everyday life. Whether she’s following you from room to room, curling up next to you on the couch, or entertaining herself with a toy or puzzle mat, she simply enjoys being part of the family.
She has a wonderful balance of playful and relaxed. Her perfect morning starts with a potty walk where she can sniff and explore, followed by breakfast. Once her belly is full, it’s time for the cutest zoomies, a game of tug, and some fun with her favorite toys. After getting her wiggles out, she’s perfectly happy to settle in and relax with her people. A leisurely 20-minute walk couple times a day and a little playtime are usually all she needs to keep her happy and content.
Muffin has been wonderful with children and has happily met adults of all ages. She greets new friends with excitement and is learning that keeping all four paws on the floor earns the best attention. She has shown curiosity toward other dogs on walks, usually stopping to sniff or watch them.
She’s house trained and quickly learned her routine after her first few days in foster care. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and is comfortable being crated when home alone for a couple of hours. She’s food motivated, knows “sit,” walks nicely on a leash while enjoying all the interesting smells, and rarely barks.
If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will keep you company, make you laugh with her funny pug noises, and happily snuggle up after a little playtime, Muffin is ready to find her forever family. She has so much love to give and can’t wait to meet the lucky family who will call her their own.
She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and being fostered in San Ramon, CA.
