Meet Chewbacca!
Lovingly known as Chewie, this handsome pug mix (we suspect Pekingese in there!) is the perfect mix of playful, cuddly, and goofy. Basically, everything you hope for in a young dog. We estimate him to be between 1-2 years old.
Chewie came to us as an owner surrender when his family no longer had the time to give him the attention he needed. Since arriving, he’s shown us what a fun little guy he is. He’s great with kids, loves meeting new people, and is eager to play with other dogs.
This boy loves life. Whether he’s zooming up and down the stairs, racing around the yard, exploring the house, or playing with his toys, Chewie is always ready for his next adventure.
Like many young dogs, Chewie is still learning the ropes. He’ll benefit from some basic training and consistent boundaries, but he’s smart, eager to please, and very food-motivated. He’s continuing to work on potty training, is still getting comfortable with car rides, and is learning that walks on a leash can be fun.
Chewie can be a little unsure when introduced to new things, so he’s looking for an adopter who will be patient, encouraging, and willing to help him build confidence as he discovers the world around him.
Chewie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and being fostered in Brentwood, CA. If you’re looking for a silly, active, and affectionate pug mix to join your family, Chewie may be your perfect match!
