This sweet, affectionate, and devoted little pug is ready to find the forever family she deserves. At just 1.5 years old, Yumi is the perfect mix of playful, cuddly, and endlessly lovable.
Yumi adores her people and bonds quickly with those she trusts. Once she feels safe, she’ll happily curl up on your lap, snuggle into your neck, or follow you from room to room just to be close. Coming home to Yumi means being greeted at the door with a wagging tail and a toy proudly carried in her mouth.
She’s full of personality: sassy, funny, and wonderfully expressive. Like most pugs, she’s very food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. She loves walks, enjoys trips to the dog park, and thrives with canine companionship, so a home with another friendly dog would make her especially happy.
Yumi is potty trained to a dog door and is currently working on her leash manners and basic obedience skills. She’s making great progress every day. Because her world has changed a lot in recent weeks, she’ll need a patient, compassionate home willing to give her time to decompress, build confidence, and fully blossom into the amazing companion she is.
She does best when she’s near her people and is still learning that being left alone doesn’t mean she’s being abandoned. With reassurance, consistency, and love, Yumi will become an incredibly loyal companion. She was surrendered when her previous owner realized they could no longer give her the life she deserved and wanted something better for her.
Yumi is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she’s ready for her next chapter. She is currently being fostered near Martinez, CA.
