Meet Dottie!
We estimate this beautiful girl is about 3 years old. She came to us from the Oakdale shelter after being found as a stray, and she’s been bringing her big personality everywhere she goes ever since.
Dottie is the definition of a classic black female pug: full of sass, energy, and confidence. She’s playful, spirited, and always ready to turn any room or backyard into her personal racetrack, happily zooming along with little yips of excitement. She even likes to pretend she’s a herding dog, “organizing” kids and other dogs around her.
She’s social, friendly, and settles into new environments quickly. Once she’s comfortable, she loves nothing more than being close to her people, whether that’s snuggling on the couch, carrying her favorite toy around, or following you from room to room like your tiny, devoted assistant.
Dottie is still building confidence with things like car rides and closed doors, so she’ll do best with adopters who can continue helping her feel safe and secure. Because she’s on the bigger-boned side and not yet comfortable traveling, we’re hoping to find her a local home.
She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and has a normal blood panel. Dottie is currently being fostered in Vacaville, CA, and she’s ready to bring a whole lot of joy, laughter, and love to her forever family. She's good on a leash, okay in a crate, and mostly potty trained. She's eager to please, so we don't anticipate training will be too hard!
