Meet Ava!
Ava is a sweet, social, and mellow eight-year-old girl who is ready to find a cozy place to call home. Bring her anywhere and she’s the star of the show; she’ll greet anyone and flop on her back for a good belly rub.
She’s potty trained and comfortable using a dog door, and her favorite place to be is right in the middle of a good pug pile or curled up on your feet. She has the cutest habit of gently suckling on a toy to soothe herself, and she absolutely loves being held.
Ava has a playful little streak, too. She takes great pride in thoroughly “murdering” her toys and has been known to sneak off with a sock or two if laundry is left unattended. She’s curious, smart, and still eager to learn, with a soft, quiet bark that is almost too adorable to handle. She also loves car rides and is happy to tag along wherever you go.
Her previous owner shared that she does well with kids and cats, and she has been great with other dogs as well. She truly is an easygoing little companion.
Ava came to us as an owner surrender along with two other pugs after their owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for them. When our friends at @pughotel took them in for us, all three were in pretty rough shape. After plenty of baths, flea treatment, and lots of TLC, they are already looking and feeling so much better.
