Jack came to us as a stray from the Central Valley and quickly won everyone over with his incredibly sweet nature. He loves being petted, cuddling, and being held, and he is always ready to give kisses. Because his vision is limited, Jack truly values human touch as both guidance and comfort. The vet thinks he's around 3 years old; his teeth are in good shape!
Jack has limited vision in one eye, and the other eye was either underdeveloped or closed due to an untreated injury before he came to us. We believe he can see shadows, but he relies heavily on sound to navigate his world. Despite this, he gets around very well and takes everything in stride.
He is great with other dogs, friendly with strangers, and unsurprisingly unconcerned about cats. Jack loves his meals and treats, does wonderfully in the car, and is currently working on potty training. Any marking behavior should improve after his neuter on February 3. He is fully vaccinated and microchipped.
If you are looking for a happy, affectionate dog to curl up with and share your life, Jack is a perfect match. He would do well in almost any home and is an easy companion to take along with you. Homes with stairs will need to use baby gates to prevent any accidental tumbles.
