Chato is a sweet and affectionate 1-year-old pug who’s full of life and personality. When he first arrived, he was a little shy, but it didn’t take long for him to come out of his shell and join right in with his foster family’s pugs.
He’s a friendly, playful, high-energy boy who would love a home with another fun-loving dog to keep him company. In fact, he’s even managed to bring out the playful side of his foster’s grumpy senior pug! Chato thrives on attention and would do best with someone who works from home or has plenty of time to spend with him, as he does have a bit of separation anxiety.
This happy-go-lucky guy is always up for an adventure, whether it’s a hike, a coffee run, or just exploring the neighborhood. He adores kids and dogs alike, and he's incredible with young children. He can transform into a mellow dog when he knows the situation needs it, which was amazing to see.
Chato is very smart and eager to please, so he’s picking up his manners quickly. He’s mostly potty trained and stays on schedule well, though he may mark briefly when adjusting to a new home. He’s also impressively quiet for a pug and hardly ever barks, even when someone’s at the door.
Anyone who welcomes Chato into their family will be gaining a loving, joyful, and social companion who’s ready for all of life’s adventures. He's vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
